As per the provisions of Section 24 of Chartered Accountants Act, the designation ‘Chartered Accountant’ is only possible to be used by a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. It has been observed that some of the final qualified students have not yet enrolled themselves as member of the Institute. After working hard for passing challenging chartered accountancy examinations, it is imperative that these individuals would like to reward themselves by using the designation ‘Chartered Accountant’. Becoming a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India not only empowers you to perform duties and act as a qualified Chartered Accountant but also provides several other significant advantages.
To become a member after passing final examination and completing Articleship, you need to attend a 15 days course on General Management and Communication skills, if not completed earlier. GMCS course will provide exposure on various gamut of profession besides improving managerial skills, leadership and business communication.
The Form 2 for enrolment as a member can be downloaded from the Institute’s website (Click here). Should you have any questions to ask in this regard, kindly feel free to contact our Regional Offices or get in touch on telephone no. 0120–3045997, 3876858, or e‑mail to mss@icai.in
It is suggested to join the membership at the earliest, preferably by March 31, 2015.
