Withdrawal of Duty Free Import Authorisation (DFIA) Scheme for import of raw Sugar.

In exer­cise of the pow­ers con­ferred by Sec­tion 5 of the For­eign Trade (Devel­op­ment & Reg­u­la­tion) Act, 1992 (No.22 of 1992) read with Para 1.02 of the For­eign Trade Pol­i­cy, 2015–2020, the Cen­tral Gov­ern­ment here­by amends the fol­low­ing pro­vi­sions of FTP 2015–20 : The fol­low­ing sub para © is insert­ed in Para 4.25 of FTP 2015–20 “© Duty Free Import Autho­ri­sa­tion Scheme shall not be avail­able for import of raw sugar.”

2. Effect of this Noti­fi­ca­tion: Import of “raw sug­ar” under Duty Free Import Autho­ri­sa­tion (DFIA) scheme is with­drawn with imme­di­ate effect.
